Dear Participant,
We look forward to welcoming you at the conference celebrating the 50th anniversary of CECAM that will take place   from  9 to 12 September 2019, at the Swisstech Convention Center on EPFL campus, in Lausanne.
 
Registration will open on Monday 9 September, at 12:00 p.m. The following days, the registration desk will open from 08:15 a.m.
 
Please do not forget to print and bring with you the pass you received when your registration was confirmed.
 
You will exchange this pass at the registration desk against your participant pack and your badge.
 
For security purposes, we ask you to wear your badge and to keep it visible at all times during the conference.
 
If you are presenting a talk, please respect the planned schedule and duration for your contribution and don’t forget to allow for 5-10 minutes for Q & A in the allocated time.
 
Health and Accident Insurance: Medical care in Switzerland is very expensive. Please make sure that you are covered by your own International Health/Accident Insurance when attending the CECAM Conference, unless your University is covering you. CECAM (EPFL) does not provide health/accident coverage for its visitors. 
 
 
ARRIVAL AT GENEVA AIRPORT – DIRECTIONS TO LAUSANNE:
When exiting customs turn left until the revolving door and proceed to the left following directions for the train station. Below the stairs in the hall after the revolving door you will find automatic ticketing machines, you can pay with credit card, debit card or Swiss money. If you prefer, train ticket desks are also available in the hall.
 
There are 4 platforms in the floor below the hall. Departure platforms of the trains are clearly indicated in the panel and on screens in the hall.

During the day there are frequent connections between the airport and Lausanne, please use the website above if you wish to check the schedule before your arrival in Geneva.
 
Price CHF 27,00 for one way, second class.
The travel time between Geneva airport and Lausanne is about 45 minutes.
DIRECTIONS TO THE SWISSTECH CONVENTION CENTER FROM LAUSANNE TRAIN STATION:
TAXI
There are taxis in front of the train station.  Taxis are expensive in Switzerland. Payments cash in Swiss francs, credit card and sometimes in Euros are accepted but the accepted forms of payment depend on the taxi. Ask before boarding. 
 
METRO 
Leave the Lausanne train station from the main exit, cross the square and take the metro M2 on the opposite side of the square, from “Lausanne Gare” in the direction “Epalinges Croisettes” for one stop. Exit at “Lausanne Flon”, then change line and take the M1 metro in the direction of “Renens-Gare” and exit at the stop “EPFL” station. You’ll see the Swisstech Convention Center building, in front of you.
